MAKE SURE YOU DENY THE DEVELOPMENT EXPANSION UNLESS THEY PUT IN THE BOTH THE BOAT RAMPS AND DRY STORAGE FIRST.  ITS IN TODAYS NEWSPAPER I AM TOLD BUT I HAVE NOT SEEN IT YET.

I've decided to give up.  This isn't worth my time.

No one on the HOA asked why I wanted to know the names of the attorneys.  That really should have been the first question instead of ignoring it.  For those who don't know I did a lot of internal legal data collection for two Dow 10 corporations.  Primarily e-mail collection which is the first thing an investigation will collect.  During that time I made friends with a few attorneys.  In one instance because of a pending multi billion yes I said billion dollar investigation my supervisor was replaced with an attorney.  These are those big scary attorneys someone likes to brag about our developers being able to hire.  Somehow I doubt the developers have ever used attorneys that have handled a multi billion dollar lawsuit.  I do miss going to Ruth Chris steakhouse every couple weeks on them.  I had a conversation with one not long ago because I was looking at starting a company with some out of state people.  During the conversation we got to talking about the problems with the developers.  He confirmed that we most certainly could sue the developers based upon the information I already had but suggested collect what I can.  Curious to know why we were being told we couldn't sue he wanted to speak with the attorney which was telling the HOA not to.  As a second reason he joked he also wanted to know so they don't every hire the stupid bastard.  As you know I couldn't get that information but this wasn't important if we could collect the information on our own.  Now they don't handle our type of case as they are corporate attorneys but lawyers know other lawyers.  What they did do was give us a reference to a well known NY lawfirm that would handle it on a ProBono.  Generally a highly skilled attorney would work with someone they are testing out on these cases.  Spring when most are graduating from law school is the best time to get a case like this.  We came through from a reference from a top attorney.  The e-mail address that was listed on the site would send them a copy while forwarding me one.  That is now disabled.

Im not trying to beat up the HOA but its no secret the HOA and I don't see eye to eye and I simply don't trust them especially seeing an HOA members facebook friends with two of the developers.  Past actions and recent frustration trying to get information.  It just simply never happens smooth.  I do not understand why they are never open about information and it frustrates me to no end because I have to sit through reading one person glorify themselves to get simple information which should be immediately available.  Why doesn't the treasurer just say here let me show you the financials.  Why do you want to know the name of the attorney.  Oh ok here it is.  Instead its just ignored.  I give up you win HOA you win developers.

Best of luck getting the boat ramps.

I wasnt worried about the developers pulling chap 11 because I sat next to a man (cowboys fan so you know he's cool) for almost two years who's wife leads investigations into companies the fraudulently file for chap 11 and she would have gladly looked into it.  They have a farm in South Carolina I hope to have time to visit now.
